How To Scale Brand Impact With OOH and Social Media
“At the highest level, Timberland strives to make it better – for our products, for the outdoors, and for the communities around the globe where we live, work and play.”
As part of our annual Brand Leadership Summit, we bring together the world’s top marketers and brand leaders and this year’s roster of speakers is no different. We couldn’t be more excited to announce Timberland’s Sustainability Director, Colleen Vien, as a speaker at this year’s Summit on October 6-7 at the W Hollywood in Los Angeles.
Timberland, a global leader in design, engineering, and marketing of premium-quality footwear, apparel and accessories, has a long-standing commitment to making things better for its products, the outdoors, and communities around the world.
Since 2005, Colleen has led Timberland’s global strategic direction around product and climate responsibility, enrichment programs for partner factory workers, and community and employee engagement. On design, 79% of the brand’s footwear in 2014 contained renewable, organic or recycled material, an increase from 70% the previous year. On production partners, Timberland looks beyond factory walls to support its factory workers in maintaining high levels of social and environmental responsibility. In 2014, the brand paired up with Planet Water Foundation to provide clean water towers in India, and they also partnered with BSR HERproject to implement women’s health education programs in Bangladesh. On engagement, the brand’s more than 20-year old Path of Service program continues to provide employees around the world with up to 40 paid hours annually for community volunteering efforts. In 2014, 78% of employees volunteered for a collective 72,000+ hours around the world, and to-date, employees have volunteered one million hours.
Recognizing the value in creating and nurturing business partnerships through service, Colleen naturally aligns and supports many on the brand’s global leadership team and across businesses to continually challenge and upgrade the brand’s sustainability impact.
Exploring Timberland’s deep heritage of environmental and social justice, Colleen Vien will share her personal insights to Timberland’s success in building and delivering valuable employee engagement programs for an impassioned global community at this year’s Summit. Summit attendees will also hear first-hand how Timberland transforms communities and lives through the power of service. If you have ever thought about or had any questions on how to implement an employee volunteer program or service project, this year’s Summit is not to be missed! Visit WeFirst15.com for individual or group tickets. Seats are limited to 200 attendees and there is only one week left to register.
