1. Cleaner, Chicer Solar Power for Your Home
If you have secretly been avoiding the switch to solar over the obnoxious solutions that protrude from your home or become an eyesore to neighbors, Tesla has it solved. They’ve continued to expand the automotive space to reinvent environment-first solutions – now including solar power. Their chic designs are built right into your roof, and will, over time, provide cost savings in comparison to traditional roof alternatives. Watch Elon Musk’s announcement and hear his vision for how solar is changing our planet.
2. Cubs’ Win Shows the Power of Tradition and Brand Loyalty
At the forefront of this week’s cultural happenings, the Cubs winning the World Series was not only a massive celebratory moment for fans – perhaps even more so a heart-warming moment for America’s grandfathers. Amidst the photos and videos of younger generations celebrating in streets, there were a number of reaction videos of grandfathers who had long-awaited this moment. The strength of the Cubs (and Coors) brand to withstand across generations is in and of itself priceless.
3. The Paris Climate Agreement Jumps into Effect Today
Another cause for celebration, the Paris Climate Agreement comes into force today – the first time that international governments have agreed to legally binding limits to global temperature rises. A major milestone for global economies, and Planet Earth.
4. Uber and Lyft Carry Over Taxi Habits of Gender Discrimination
Despite the open-source nature of ride-sharing apps Uber and Lyft, a recent MIT, Stanford and University of Washington study shows they may be just as bad as taxis when it comes to gender and racial profiling and discrimination. Sadly, these bad habits are carrying over from the rapidly declining taxi industry – particularly if you an African-American woman. Find out why and what you can do.
